Solar Powered LED Headlamp
The world's first Solar Powered LED Headlamp
with a powerful and lightweight Li-Ion cell phone battery,
capable of charging hand-held electronic devices such as cell phones

Solar LED Headlamp Description
The 5pcs bright white LEDs in this solar-rechargeable Headlamp run all night long with only 6 hours of full sun charging. The LED sequencing switch provides different operating modes – bright, photocell (for automatic dusk-to-dawn operation), dim and blinking. There is also a charge indicator for the powerful Li-Ion battery, so you’re never left in the dark without advance warning. The LEDs switch off periodically as the battery runs low, so you're never left in total darkness without any warning. Our retailers also have optional adapters for charging cell phones, MP3 players, GPS locators, digital cameras and other hand-held electronics using power from the Headlamp and/or directly from the solar panel itself.

Charge your light (and cell phone, too!)
with this bright “never-die” Headlamp and its companion solar panel.
Renewable energy meets headlamp meets all power-hungry gadgets in this electronic mash-up. The compact five-LED Headlamp charges straight off a 3-ounce solar panel that’s half the size of a CD case. That means you can disponse with batteries altogether—throwaways and rechargeables—and go on extended treks or international trips without worrying about power resupply. The EL8’s high beam has plenty of illumination for night hiking, and the low setting is perfect for camp use. Hang the solar panel on y our pack or tent; it takes about six hours of full sun to charge the lamp for 12 hours on high beam—enough for overnight epics. Charging in overcast and timber takes about twice as long. (An indicator light glows green, yellow, or red depending on how much juice is left.) Optional adapter cords let you wall-charge the lamp or power cell phones and other devices off the solar panel. (800) 225-1339; www.newlite.com Reader service #106
With the small solar panel plugged into the EL8 Solar Headlamp, each hour of sun charging provides about 2 hours of bright white LED light. The small monocrystalline solar panel recharges the powerful Li-Ion battery inside. The 5pcs bright white LEDs have 5 modes of operation, bright, photocell, dim, flashing & off. There is also a battery charge indicator, so you always know how much battery charge is still available.
EverLite Accessories include DC voltage converters that plug into the EL8 Headlamp, and provide either 12VDC or USB output power suitable for charging cell phones, PDAs, GPS locators, MP3 players, Bluetooth devices, digital cameras, etc.
